The week Louis Féraud flew me around Australia.
Following our win in the NSW Dirty Dancing competition in 1988, my dancing partner, Sonia Kruger, and I were invited to perform and model in the Louis Féraud national fashion tour.
Rehearsals began at Maria Finlay's home, with further sessions held at her daughter Marina's Bondi property.
Sonia and I had been professional dance partners since 1986. The Dirty Dancing competition was one of the many unexpected opportunities that emerged from those years of partner dancing.

My modelling activities continued after the tour, with selection as a model for the FIA Awards (Australian Fashion Industry Awards) the following year, and acceptance into the Gordon Charles Agency in Double Bay.
The directors of Louis Féraud Australia, Maria Finlay and Lady Sonia McMahon travelled with us, and were our supporters on the road throughout the tour.
The tour took us to the Wentworth Hotel in Sydney, Jupiter's Casino on the Gold Coast, and the Hyatt on Collins in Melbourne.
The Melbourne event was hosted by Lillian Frank. Tickets were $1,000 per person, with proceeds supporting Odyssey House. National media coverage was extensive.
