Ordering & Production
Q: How does the ordering process work?
A: Once your order is placed, your artwork is carefully produced to order, individually signed and documented, then securely prepared for delivery. You’ll receive updates at each stage and a tracking number once dispatched.
Q: What is the Print–Roll–Send model?
A: The Print–Roll–Send model is ART1’s sustainable production and delivery system.
Each artwork is printed to order on museum-quality fine art paper, rolled in protective archival packaging, and sent directly from our professional print partners to collectors and designers worldwide.
This approach eliminates mass stock, reduces waste, and minimises freight impact, ensuring every print is freshly produced, carefully handled, and delivered in perfect condition. It also allows collectors the flexibility to frame their artwork in their own style while keeping global shipping simple and eco-conscious.
Q: What makes ART1 different from other online print platforms?
A: ART1 is a self-curated fine art photography gallery created by Australian artist Raymond Mather.
Each piece forms part of a limited-edition collection, sustainably produced through our Print–Roll–Send model. Unlike mass-market print sites, ART1 blends museum-quality production with direct-from-artist authenticity, no galleries, no gatekeepers, and no excess waste.
Below you’ll find more details about editions, sizes, paper types, and production everything that makes an ART1 print both collectible and enduring.

General Questions
Limited Editions
Q: Are ART1 artworks limited editions?
A: Yes. Each ART1 artwork is issued in a strictly limited edition of 50 prints per size on museum-grade fine art paper.
Every artwork is individually numbered, hand signed, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Once an edition sells out, no further prints will be produced in that size or medium.
Select artworks may also be released as open-edition canvas prints through the Designer Collection. These are clearly marked and offered as a separate product line for trade clients, while fine art paper editions remain strictly limited.
Edition Availability
Q: How can I know how many prints are left in an edition?
A: Each ART1 limited edition print is individually numbered out of 50. The current edition number is displayed on the product page.
If you would like more detail or have a specific request, please feel free to contact us.
Print Editions - Multiple Sizes
Q: Are different print sizes considered the same edition?
A: No. Each size is issued as its own limited edition of 50.
If an artwork is available in multiple sizes, each size has a separate, independently numbered edition.
Once sold out, that size will not be reproduced.

Paper Printing
Semi Gloss Lustre 310gsm
Our semi-gloss archival paper reproduces the deepest, darkest blacks and exceptional grey tones, making it the product of choice for the more discerning black and white as well as colour photographer with a superb lustre finish. Artists find printing their art on semi-gloss lustre is a great way to give their work real impact.
100% cotton rag base with a platinum microporous coating. No optical brightening agents (OBAs), acid-free, and certified to avoid paper degradation.
Designed to meet gallery and museum longevity requirements – this is giclée printing at its finest.
Ink
Epson 20070 Ink Cartridges
UltraChrome Pro ink is based on Epson’s famous K3 & HDR ink. It has an aqueous (water-based) all-pigment construction that has been designed for professional and commercial print production. The formulation provides an extended gamut with superior colour accuracy and archival-level image stability.
Ink dries quickly to produce prints that are water and scratch-resistant. The ink set includes Vivid Magenta for brighter blues and pinks as well as Light and Dark Grey for improved balance with neutral greys, reduced bronzing and minimal colour casts/colour twist.
The Pro formulation features improved Matte and Photo Black inks that provide an enhanced Dmax for brighter prints with an enhanced tonal range in both B/W and colour. It also features a new Yellow ink that provides further durability enhancement with increased UV light resistance.
Varnish
(Keep in mind our inks are already UV protective)

All documentation is provided digitally for secure record-keeping and long-term reference.
The Artist's Process
Q: How does Raymond create his artworks?
A: Each artwork begins as an original photographic capture.
Some works remain close to their photographic origins, while others are developed through layered digital processes exploring abstraction, colour, and emotional resonance.
Many works are revisited and refined over time, allowing each image to mature through reflection and engagement.
Q: Why do some artworks include digital noise, grain, or pixel effects - are these flaws?
A: No. These elements are intentional and form part of Raymond’s expressive process.
They function like texture in painting, adding depth, tension, and emotional presence. All artworks are printed to the highest professional standards.
Sustainability
Q: How sustainable is ART1’s production?
A: ART1 operates on a made-to-order Print–Roll–Send model, eliminating excess inventory and waste.
Recyclable packaging, minimal freight, and archival materials ensure each artwork is both eco-conscious and enduring.
