Role and Contribution
For the Twisted Tales episode Dancing Partners, I worked in a dual creative and physical capacity, contributing directly to the storytelling and embodied performance of the episode.
My work on the production included the following:
Choreographer, creating and shaping the movement language required for the story
Actor movement training, working closely with performers to ensure dance elements were believable, character-driven, and integrated naturally into the narrative
Stunt double for the character Clive, performing physical sequences on screen as required
As with several screen projects during this period, the role extended beyond choreography alone. It involved translating character psychology into physical expression, supporting actors in inhabiting movement truthfully, and maintaining continuity between dramatic intention and embodied performance within the constraints of episodic television.

Production Context and Collaboration
Dancing Partners forms part of the Twisted Tales anthology series, developed within the Australian television industry of the late 1990s and associated at a series level with Bryan Brown Productions, with Bryan Brown credited as executive producer, with episode production handled by South Star Sales.
The episode featured four principal cast members:
David Webb (Clive)
Noni Hazlehurst (Anne Martin)
Matilda Brown (Fiona)
Treffyn Koreshoff (John)
I worked directly with all four actors during production, shaping movement, physical interaction, and performance detail to support character, emotional credibility, and narrative clarity. The collaboration took place within a highly professional ensemble environment supported by an experienced cast and crew, and remains a highlight of my screen work from this period.

Production Trivia
I was later told that my involvement in Dancing Partners came about through an informal recommendation, with my name raised during a lunch conversation. I never learned who made the referral or where the conversation took place, but it remains a reminder of how work often flowed at the time, through professional reputation, personal networks, and word of mouth rather than formal applications.
It is a small but meaningful example of the trust that circulates when craft, reliability, and collaboration are recognised by peers.
