Boot Scootin’ Baby - 266835v1 plays with scale, focus and visual hierarchy. The brilliant red boot, decorated with yellow stars and a tiny spur, occupies the foreground while the oversized green jelly baby rises behind it like an improbable companion. White ceramics punctuated with red, together with flashes of blue and further red forms, dissolve into the shallow depth of field.

Part of Raymond Mather’s Cliché Life series, the work transforms familiar objects, childhood associations and deliberately kitsch imagery into a constructed photographic still life. Humour and nostalgia sit alongside the formal interplay of colour, repetition, scale and selective focus. 

Printed on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks. Each work is individually signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
