Photographed at close range, the tiny confectionery forms are transformed through scale and shallow depth of field. Green, yellow, red and orange figures emerge among brightly coloured jelly beans spilling from a white bowl, creating a densely layered landscape of colour and form.

The upright figures appear almost like characters gathered within the surrounding sweets, while the blurred foreground and background shift familiar confectionery into an exaggerated miniature environment.
