Trolley Dolly - Series No.1: 197260, bursting with colour and bittersweet contrast, this photograph from Raymond Mather’s Trolley Dolly series features a vibrant fashion doll with rainbow curls and a tear on her cheek, poised beside an overflowing miniature shopping trolley. Her outfit, a playful clash of patterns and colours, belies the deeper narrative: a life carried in fragments. The trolley is packed with symbolic necessities: pink ribbons, string, cork, fabric, plastic wrap, each item hinting at creativity, survival, and resilience.

Set against a blurred background of dappled light and shadow, this image captures the theatricality and fragility of those who live on the edges, especially women and children affected by homelessness. The doll’s stance is confident, but the story she tells is one of displacement dressed in flair. This work celebrates endurance and inventiveness, wrapped in a hyper stylised vision of truth.

Printed on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks. Each work is individually signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
