Trolley Dolly - Series No.1: 197274, standing barefoot on earthy ground beneath tall reeds, a blonde haired fashion doll looks out with calm composure, one hand resting near a miniature shopping trolley filled with makeshift belongings. Inside: a teddy bear, plastic bags, cloth scraps, a tiny paper parasol, and a delicate feather, all symbols of home, memory, and transient care. Dressed in a tropical print skirt and grey tank top, she evokes both resilience and displacement in a single still moment.
Part of Raymond Mather’s Trolley Dolly - Series No.1, this photograph captures the fragility of those living on society’s margins, especially women and children who carry their worlds in fragments. The doll becomes a surrogate for real stories hidden in plain sight. Nature forms the backdrop, but the tone is one of quiet struggle and quiet strength, balancing innocence with lived reality.
Printed on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks. Each work is individually signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
