Trolley Dolly - Series No.1: 197392, elegant yet burdened, this fine art photograph from Raymond Mather’s Trolley Dolly series features a blonde fashion doll in a purple dress with spade and snowflake motifs, standing poised beside a miniature shopping trolley brimming with daily essentials: folded clothing, a paper bag, colourful clips, a beaded chain, and soft textiles. She stands inside a vehicle, perhaps in transit, perhaps sheltering, underscoring the transient reality of life lived on the move.
Shot in a confined space, the composition speaks to themes of hidden homelessness, especially among women and children. The doll, pristine and composed, becomes a symbol of how well hardship is masked behind polish and appearance. This image invites reflection on who gets seen, who gets supported, and what we choose not to notice.
Printed on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks. Each work is individually signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
