Trolley Dolly - Series No.2: 19E2255v10, a playful but piercing visual emerges in this layered photographic work by Raymond Mather. A wide eyed doll, with voluminous hair and polka dotted dress, is emblazoned ghostlike against a moody brick wall, her vibrant presence both captivating and unnerving. Below her, a red handled shopping trolley sits idle at the edge of the curb, a symbol of abandonment, transience, and necessity. To the left, a weathered timber door flickers with echoes of market life, bright colours of fruit, red fabric, and layered textures weaving hints of memory and domestic loss.
Part of the Trolley Dolly series, this artwork juxtaposes innocence and social marginalisation to explore the veiled stories of women and children affected by homelessness. It invites reflection on visibility, perception, and the overlooked layers of urban life.
Printed on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks. Each work is individually signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
