Trolley Dolly - Series No.2: 19E2255v1 presents a quietly powerful urban scene where the edge of a stylised girl’s portrait peers out from a brick wall, her large, painted eye meeting the viewer with haunting immediacy. Beside her, a lone shopping trolley stands on the cracked pavement, poised against the backdrop of a wooden door and gridded street textures. The stark juxtaposition of the domestic and the discarded, of innocence and survival, becomes a subtle yet potent commentary on the unseen narratives of homelessness and marginalisation in urban spaces.
This fine art print forms part of Raymond Mather’s Trolley Dolly series, an evocative body of work that reimagines the language of pop surrealism to explore hidden homelessness, especially among women and youth. Each work in the series speaks to presence, absence, and the tension between care and neglect.
Printed on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks. Each work is individually signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
