Trolley Dolly - Series No.2: 9255v3, a haunting visual allegory of displacement and neglect, this fine art limited edition print by Raymond Mather interweaves layers of urban decay, street symbolism, and childhood memory. At its centre, a brightly coloured, oversized doll looms like a ghostly sentinel against a darkened brick wall, her soft form juxtaposed with the harsh reality of an abandoned shopping trolley. A wooden door hints at stories untold, as if bearing silent witness to lives lived just out of view. The scene evokes the silent weight of homelessness, especially among women and children, while inviting a deeper reflection on care, belonging, and what society chooses to discard.
This piece forms part of the Trolley Dolly collection, a conceptual installation exploring themes of vulnerability, invisibility, and maternal symbolism through objects found, rescued, and reimagined.
This artwork is professionally printed on museum grade fine art paper using archival inks to ensure exceptional depth, colour vibrancy, and longevity.
