Trolley Dolly - Series No.2: 19E2255v4, a spectral figure looms quietly in this emotionally charged limited edition print by Raymond Mather. Set against a brooding brick wall, a translucent fashion doll, poised yet expressionless, emerges like a ghost of forgotten lives. Below, an empty red handled shopping trolley rests on the kerb, echoing abandonment and daily survival. A wooden door nearby, layered with faded fruit motifs and the suggestion of domestic routine, deepens the work’s visual and emotional tension.
This image is part of the Trolley Dolly collection, a poignant series confronting the often unseen realities of homelessness, particularly among women and children. Through layered symbolism and saturated tones, it captures the collision between innocence and harsh circumstance, reminding viewers of what lies behind closed doors and polished façades.
Printed on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks. Each work is individually signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
