Trolley Dolly - Series No.2: 19E2255v7, bathed in electric blues and deep shadows, this atmospheric artwork by Raymond Mather conjures a quiet unease. A wide eyed doll figure, partially hidden in the brick façade, peers out with longing and uncertainty. Her ghostly presence is both childlike and charged, set against the stark realism of an empty shopping trolley resting near a worn timber door, layered with fiery textures and flickers of domestic memory.
Part of the Trolley Dolly collection, this image meditates on social invisibility and the haunting undercurrents of homelessness, particularly among women and children. The work captures a tension between fantasy and survival, façade and truth, asking us to reconsider what and who we pass by each day.
Printed on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks. Each work is individually signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
