Urban Commute - Series No.2: 9557(1)v1a, captures a cross section of everyday life, blurred into a rhythmic mosaic of shape, colour, and anonymity. A group of figures, some walking, some pausing, are viewed through a patterned screen that softens their outlines and turns a row of coloured bins or panels behind them into a horizontal band of visual energy.

In this work, Raymond Mather transforms the ordinary into a kind of choreographed drift, where the randomness of movement becomes its own quiet dance. There is symmetry and disorder, repetition and variation, held together by the language of abstraction and suggestion.
