ART1 is an independent, artist-led fine art photography publishing platform and living archive created by Australian multidisciplinary artist and photographer Raymond Mather.
Developed with the discipline of a studio practice, the platform presents curated collections as coherent bodies of work, forming a structured and evolving archive shaped by decades of creative exploration across movement, visual abstraction, and image-making.
The Work
All artworks originate from Raymond’s photographic capture and are developed individually through a refined digital process, allowing each image to evolve beyond its initial moment while maintaining its core visual integrity.
Editions and Production
Finished works are produced as signed and numbered fine art prints using museum-grade archival materials and issued in limited editions of 50, each accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
The Model
ART1 operates through a sustainable Print-Roll-Send publishing and fulfilment model, enabling global distribution while minimising waste, storage, and unnecessary freight.
Visualisation and Placement
Exhibition and interior room views are created using professional visualisation platforms, including ArtPlacer, supporting collectors and designers in making informed placement decisions. This integrated approach reflects a commitment to precision, clarity, and long-term stewardship of each work.
The Collections
The collections draw on decades of lived experience across Australia, from urban environments to coastal and rainforest landscapes. Themes of colour, rhythm, memory, and presence recur throughout the work, offering moments of visual clarity and emotional connection.
Ongoing Practice
Guided by values of presence, connection, and creative integrity, the practice continues to evolve as new work is developed and shared globally through the ART1 platform.
